The 830 Cold Laser is a non-invasive procedure that allows great results without surgical incisions or medications. It is battery-operated, hand-held, and approved for a variety of different conditions by the FDA. It’s unlike other lasers such as surgical or cosmetic lasers in the fact that it doesn’t produce heat and causes no harm to tissues. It uses an invisible infrared light at an 830 nm wavelength that penetrates deep into tissues causing more circulation, tissue strengthening, and reduced inflammation. What’s great about the laser is that it doesn’t wear off like most medications, electrical stimulation, heat or ice because it’s using your body’s natural healing power. One of the reasons our patients love this laser is that the treatments are fast and pain free. The treatments usually last 10-20 min and most notice results in the first treatment but complete improvement of symptoms may take up to 9 visits. I’ve used our 830 laser personally for a ligament tear and was pleasantly surprised by the results. It was painless and my body seemed to heal at a much quicker rate.
