taking stress off your Achilles and plantar fascia by stretching your calf muscles. This is important in order to prevent overuse syndromes of your foot and ankles. And if you ignore it, you could end up tearing the tendons of your ankle or developing tendinitis. The pain could increase to the point where you are unable to exercise. Then you might be told that you need an injection and that could make things worse.
